Race 4 — No. 8 Mizzou (12/1): Showed the way going seven furlongs at Churchill last time and held second with a 92 Equibase figure. Now cuts back to six furlongs at the same claiming level—a setup that could help him finish the job. He’s also placed at Keeneland before. Eleven starts without a win suggests commitment issues, but at 12/1 we’re willing to discuss the relationship. 4th

Race 10 — No. 8 Tend to You (8/1): His July turf effort produced a 98 figure and a second beaten only a neck. His next start was weaker, so we need a rebound, but he’s lightly raced and that better effort makes him dangerous here. At 8/1, we’ll forgive one disappointing performance.
